Frequently Asked Questions

What are the differences between coaching and other professional support services such as counselling and consultancy?
Counselling focuses on in-depth analysis to help clients understand and gain acceptance on a specific issue from their past in order to move on. Coaching focuses on the future and supports clients as they move from where they are now to where they want to be. Consultancy is about having specialist knowledge on a particular subject and offering advice and solutions based on the consultant’s personal experience. Coaching is not about giving advice but is about empowering clients to create their own ideas, strategies and solutions.

How frequent are sessions?
It is recommended that coaching sessions take place on a weekly basis to help maintain momentum. Appointments are arranged to suit each individual with daytime and early evening sessions available to take account of personal and business commitments.

How many coaching sessions will I need?
In our initial consultation we will talk about your goals and aspirations which will allow us to estimate the number of sessions that will be appropriate. It is usual for clients to have between 6 and 12 sessions to gain the greatest benefit. We will review your progress each month and book additional sessions as required.
After completing a course of sessions, you may choose to have follow-up’s every couple of months to maintain your progress or to set yourself new and exciting goals for the future.

How much does each session cost?
Coaching is an investment in your life and in your future. Your initial consultation is free with individual coaching sessions available from £55 per hour, payable in advance by cash, cheque or direct bank transfer.
Sessions can be booked one at a time but monthly packages are available which offer preferential rates.
Also included is unlimited email support, self-development exercises where requested and an emergency 10 minute ‘booster session’ if you need additional support before an important event, such as a meeting or interview.

Face to face or telephone coaching?
As coaching sessions predominately take place over the phone, neither the coach nor client is restricted to a particular location or even country! Your individual preferences will be discussed at the consultation stage and coaching sessions on the telephone, face to face, or even via skype can be arranged.

What if I need to reschedule a session?
We all come up against the unexpected from time to time. To allow for this, I am able to reschedule appointments but would ask for 48 hours notice or full charges will be incurred.
